The Department of Land Transport has relaxed rules for vehicles damaged or lost in floods. Until 30 November 2569 (2026), owners can apply for replacement plates or tax stickers with a copy of the registration book or just their original ID card, at any transport office nationwide. Fees: 100 baht per plate plus 5 baht application. Hire-purchase vehicles can get a registration certificate instead of a new book (75 baht for cars, 35 baht for motorcycles). Owners not attending in person need a power of attorney. For a business with flood-affected fleet vehicles, act before the deadline to get them back on the road legally.
