Eppo says Singapore diesel spot hit $178/bbl on Oct 20 after Middle East supply disruptions, and analysts warn it could reach $200. Retail diesel (B7) already rose 0.60 baht/litre to 43.54 baht, and gasohol 95 to 42.04 baht. The Oil Fuel Fund is running a 102 billion baht deficit and spending about 229 million baht a day on subsidies, so price support may not last. Fuel tax cuts are a possible last resort if prices keep rising, but officials are unsure whether high prices will last into early next year. Review transport and delivery costs now, and plan for fuel to stay expensive.
