The Royal Irrigation Department is cutting Chao Phraya dam releases from 2,500 to 2,350 cu m/s in steps, and lowering upstream levels to make room for new rain. Heavy to very heavy rain is forecast 9-13 Oct across the North Lower, Central, Bangkok and Metropolitan, Eastern and Southern regions, with the South the main worry.
