The cabinet approved in principle a draft royal decree letting the MRT Authority run a 12.54 km, 12-station monorail in Songkhla, with a depot at Khlong Wa station. The draft still has to go through the Council of State and several ministries, so no construction or operations start soon. For Songkhla and Hat Yai businesses, it is a long-term signal: possible foot traffic and land-value shifts around the stations, not an immediate change to costs or rules.
