The baht fell to about 33.8 per dollar in July, its weakest in over a year, then recovered to around 33.0 in early August as the dollar eased. Kasikorn's dealing room says the rebound may not last: September has seasonally been a strong-dollar month, Jackson Hole in late August is a risk, and Thailand's twin deficits (current account and fiscal) keep pressure on the baht. Their end-2026 forecast is 33.80. If you pay for imports or dollar-priced inputs, or earn in dollars, review your hedging and pricing for the back half of the year rather than assuming the current level holds.
