Agriculture Minister Suriya Jungrungreangkit ordered the Royal Irrigation Department to rehabilitate two reservoirs in Nakhon Phanom (Huai Kan Lueang and Huai Si Khun) and to design a 17 km flood-and-drought project on Huai Hong Ho. Only about 20% of the province's area has irrigation access. The projects are still at survey, design or public-consultation stage, so no construction or cost impact is immediate.
