The Trade Competition Commission has approved in principle a draft rule on platform service fees for ride-hailing and on-demand delivery. Public consultation runs Oct 21 to Nov 19 (2026), with publication in the Royal Gazette expected by Dec 18. Platforms with market power must justify fee increases and give users and the TCCT at least 90 days' notice; dominant platforms need permission 180 days ahead. Fees charged to business partners must be linked to service benefits. If you sell through these platforms or deliver for them, submit comments during consultation and watch your commission and fee terms, which may change in 2027.
