SCB EIC forecasts Thai electronics exports up 7.8% YoY in 2027, slowing from 45.5% in 2026. Growth is led by AI-related goods (computers, HDDs, communication equipment, power electronics), while general electronics slow with weak global demand. Risks: possible US tariff increases on semiconductors, communication equipment and computers, tight chip and memory supply raising parts costs, and US anti-transshipment rules on origin. If you supply electronics makers or sell to them, review tariff exposure, parts costs and export markets. Most SMEs outside electronics supply chains will see only indirect effects.
