BOI reminds BOI-promoted firms hit by floods that they can import replacement machinery duty-free and write off damaged machinery or raw materials without tax liability. Eligibility: the premises must be in an area declared a disaster zone or emergency relief zone for the flood. Claims with damage evidence must be filed within 6 months of the flood's end, which is the date the relevant zone declaration ends.
