Southern durian output is 70-80% on the market and higher than last year. The Commerce Ministry has bought about 200,000 of its 300,000-tonne target to hold prices, and says it will help with markets and processing. Exports reached 1.11 million tonnes (THB 127.2bn) as of 4 Aug 2026, but freight costs are rising. If you deal in fruit, watch for province fruit calendars and ministry buying support, and consider processing or by-products such as durian husk fertiliser for lower-grade fruit.
