The Government Pension Fund (GPF) will transfer about 1,789 million baht of surplus reserve returns to the state treasury in early October 2026, the first such transfer since it was founded. The money comes from the Finance Ministry's reserve, which sits above the legal level of 3 times the annual civil-servant pension budget. GPF says member savings of over 1.2 million people are not affected. For a private SME owner, this is background only: no filing, cost or pricing change follows.
