A flash flood in Muang Prachin Buri swamped a large pig farm and drowned about 2,000 pigs. The Livestock Department is removing and burying carcasses under veterinary procedures, with about 50 already buried and 1,800 more expected on Wednesday. For farmers in flood-prone areas, this is a reminder to check livestock disease-control and disposal rules and to plan how to move animals to high ground before water arrives. Flood-hit livestock keepers should also contact the provincial livestock office for guidance.
