Heavy rain of over 300 mm in three days flooded parts of Bangkok in late September 2026. Bangkok declared disaster zones in 50 districts on 26 September, lifted 21 of them within three days, leaving 29. The PM now chairs a daily 7am briefing of the national disaster committee (กปภ.ช.) and a cabinet minister has been assigned to oversee Bangkok. For a Bangkok SME, watch for district disaster declarations, which can bring relief and affect operations and access. Plan for repeat flood disruption during the rainy season, especially in low-lying districts.
