CAAT's new rule on checked-bag searches takes effect 16 October 2026. Bags are opened without the owner present only when X-ray flags a suspicious object. Searches are recorded and passengers are notified afterwards. For Thai SMEs that ship goods or travel for work: pack samples and products so they can be inspected quickly, check the prohibited-items list before flying, and consider TSA-approved locks.
