Deputy PM Pakorn says the government is reopening long-term power purchase agreements with private producers, with talks able to start now without further cabinet approval (NEPC approved on July 17). The average purchase price is about 2.16 baht per unit, and the committee wants periodic reviews, for example every 10 years. Availability payments are also under review. For a Thai SME, this is a long process, not an immediate change to your tariff. Keep your current electricity cost assumptions, but watch for possible tariff relief in later budgets.
