Thai Airways' Q2 2026 net profit fell to THB 1.54bn from THB 12.13bn a year earlier. Revenue rose 8.5% as it raised fuel surcharges (average passenger yield up 20.3%), but total costs rose 29.7%, with jet fuel alone up THB 8.18bn (72.6%). Passenger volume (RPK) fell 11.3% and cabin factor dropped to 71.5% from 77.0%. For SMEs: fuel-linked costs are pushing up airfares and freight-related charges, and weaker travel demand signals caution in tourism and travel-linked spending. Watch your own fuel and transport costs, and plan for softer travel demand in the second half.
