Krungthai Bank (KTB) reported Q3 2026 net profit of 12,582 million baht, up 3.8% from Q2 but down 13.9% year on year. Loans grew 10%, led by retail, large business and government lending. Net interest income fell 13% for the nine months as rates came down, while fee income rose 6.2%. Provisions fell 14% to 20,345 million baht, NPL is 2.93%, and credit cost is 0.98%. The bank says oil prices are adding pressure on business costs and that SMEs face limited capacity to adapt. For a Thai SME, this signals that banks are lending more but are still cautious, and that lower rates may ease borrowing costs. Oil and flood risk are worth factoring into this quarter's planning.
