Flood-hit vegetable supply is starting to recover. Wholesale prices at Si Mum Mueang market fell from peak levels: green cabbage 12 to 8 baht/kg, green bird's eye chili 70 to 42 baht/kg, basil 170 to 150 baht/kg. Leafy greens such as spring onion and holy basil leaves are still being watched, and sweet basil (mae lak) is still rising at 140 baht/kg. Transport delays are hurting quality. The Vegetarian Festival runs 9-18 October 2026, with vegetarian ingredients and seasonings discounted up to 50% through markets, supermarkets and convenience stores.
