The Thai Chamber of Commerce is pushing the government to close three trade deals: the ART trade agreement with the US, the Thai-EU FTA (round 10 of talks in Phuket), and the Thai-UAE CEPA (reported over 80% progress). It projects more than 2% GDP gain within 3 years after entry into force, but only if measures to support affected businesses are in place. The study cites about 1.28% GDP and roughly 2.8% export growth for the EU FTA. None of these deals is in force yet. For a small exporter, this means no tariff change to plan for now; watch for final US tariff rates, rules of origin, and the list of sensitive goods (agri, processed food, seafood, premium pet food) that may be protected.
