Thailand's digital ministry has a preliminary plan to classify data centres into five tiers by electricity use, up from three. Data centres buying green power through direct PPAs or green energy would get a cheaper tariff. Rules are not final: four sub-committees are expected to report next week, then go to the board and cabinet. Compliance rules are still unclear; a few businesses may need only small changes.
