Google updated its usage terms from October 2026. Free Gemini users can only use the Flash-lite model. The AI Plus paid tier gets Flash-lite and Flash but not Pro. Pro-tier and Ultra users get every model, with low, medium and high effort settings that change token use. If your team relies on free Gemini accounts for customer replies or documents, check which model you actually have access to, since output quality and token costs may shift. Otherwise, no action is needed.
