The UTCC estimates the 25-29 Sep 2026 floods cost the economy about 12,283 million baht in the base case (range 5,896-20,635 million), excluding property damage. Bangkok bore 57% (7,014 million), and Chonburi/Pattaya took the hit in the East (about 2,976 million). Retail, tourism, services and fuel stations saw lower spending, and day-wage workers and small operators lost income that may not be recovered. If water persists into Q4, UTCC says it will revise forecasts. Plan for weaker footfall and cash flow for the next few weeks, and watch for relief measures for small businesses.
