The Interior Ministry's probe into foreign-owned proxy companies has reached Sakon Nakhon, where 53 suspect firms in four districts were flagged, 43 of them wholly owned by Chinese nationals. Thai ID cards and house registration copies were allegedly misused to register these firms. If you run a business, check that your company registration, directors and documents are in order and that you have not lent your name or ID to anyone. Separately, Phuket's PAO has asked the labour minister to end health welfare for migrant workers giving birth in public hospitals; this is only a proposal, with no change in effect yet.
