Thailand's Commerce Minister Suphajee and Timor-Leste's Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão met in Bangkok on 9-10 October 2026. Both sides agreed to raise trade and investment and to finish a rice trade MOU sooner. Thailand says it will ease exports of farm and processed food products to Timor-Leste. No MOU terms, tariffs or timelines were given, so there is nothing to act on yet.
