The Trade Competition Commission ruled that Shopee abused market power by automatically enrolling sellers in its free-shipping and 10% coins cashback promotions without advance notice or consent, and made leaving the programmes burdensome. It ordered a THB 3.47m fine, payable within 30 days of notice; the company can appeal to the Administrative Court within 90 days.
