Anthropic says Claude outputs will carry AI-origin watermarks, tied to the EU AI Act Article 50(2), and the rule applies to users everywhere. New models released after 2 August 2026 get it first, and older models are being updated. Files will carry the C2PA metadata standard, which Google and OpenAI already support. If your business uses Claude for content, documents or customer-facing output, check that your workflow keeps file metadata intact and that you can disclose AI use where your customers or regulators ask.
